one minute

happy season of light and delight!

santa left me a sleigh (tub) for the holy daze!

the permission slip is circulating in this season of hustle and bustle hopefully creating a moment in which we can allow ourselves some self love.
it's been all the way to new zealand and back to the states. currently it's in portland and will go to california next.

amy gave herself permission to be imperfect.

olivia wrote: "I gave myself permission to stay in the present more, to hurry less, to worry less about what needs to be done/where I need to get to and to focus on savoring where I AM and what I'm doing each moment. It's...a struggle for me, I admit...so I'm hoping that actively giving myself permission to do it will make it a bit easier."

lyric gave herself permission "to allow myself to get a job i liked (meaning one in the arts or film with nifty co-workers that i might actually be friends with out of work and doing something that i actually want to do)". she says, "not long after i got my current job at the book council. didn't hit all the above stuff, but is heaps closer than my previous jobs (being in the arts, if not a job that really grooves with me, at least it had nifty co-workers). so go permission slip! :D

i've been digging these noetic society encouragements

i have also been inspired in a very simple down to earth way by the book, the 4 agreements.
this is what one reviewer says of this book that i found simple and inspiring:
"Don Miguel Ruiz is known as a nagual, or shaman, of the Toltec tradition. The Toltecs were an ancient group of scientists and artists that was formed to explore and preserve the practices and spiritual knowledge of the ancient ones. It is not a religion, but a way of life that embraces spirit and honors all the spiritual masters who have taught on the earth. Toltec wisdom arises from the same essential unity of truth as other sacred esoteric traditions that are found all over the world.
The Four Agreements are very simple, but very profound. To embrace and live each of the Four Agreements is to find yourself experiencing personal freedom--possibly as never before."

The Four Agreements are:
Be Impeccable With Your Words
Don't Take Anything Personally
Don't Make Assumptions
Always Do Your Best

happy season of light and delight!
