kairos landing

the "permission" slip is now in pennsylvania. it has been to india and back to washington state in between. will post pics on that soon. here's to more permission!

after 4 yrs of trying, we have adopted a sweet little girl of mayan descent. kairos talismann lamblin is her name. we got her at birth. and in her 2 months of life so far, she's toured with us to nyc and chicago and is currently bouncing along in the baby bjorn while we teach instrument making residencies!

besides kairos, this is the most inspiring thing i've come across!

I loved the beautifully written "My Stroke of Insight - a Brain Scientist's Personal Journey" by Jill Bolte Taylor and her incredible talk on TED dot com. Dr. Taylor's unique perspective as a Harvard neuroanatomist having a stroke, combined with her sensitivity and awareness, produced something as powerful as I've ever witnessed. I want to share Dr Taylor's story far and wide because it's a wonderful story and a great book to read, but more importantly, this is the message we desperately need if we are to survive as a species.
